Bulgaria Open 2008

Bulgaria National Championship 2008 will be organized at the same time with Russian Open Paragliding Championship 2008.

The Championship is not open to foreign pilots.
The event will take place on in Sopot, near Shambhala Europen center and SkyLift station. Launch points will be Sopot (1400 mt) and in some cases Beklemeto (1200 m) above Karnare.

The landing place will be the usual landing field in Shambhala Center in Sopot, near Lift station or on some other landings around Sopot..

Pilots who have never had the chance to fly over the Central Balkan National reservat could try this nice fly area. Landscape varies from plains to mountains, from alpine valleys to milder hills. You can easily fly over Botev Peak to the East and try to reach Kazanlak towards east.?In summer 2007 the cloud base here was 4300 masl so we expect similar
conditions this summer.

At last, the competition will be an occasion to share seven pleasant days with pilots and friends.

Entrance fee

For Bulgarian pilots - 60 euros. You should pay the entrance fee till 30.06.2008. The places reserved for Bulgarian pilots are 25 and will be kept until 30/06/2008, after this date they are available for foreign pilots, taking part in the Russian open Championship.
