News | Flying sitesTAKE OFF(N42.68703 E24.74786; 1374m AMSL) - a big (for more than 50 gliders) grassy peak, with East - South - West exposures, next to the middle lift station. In the course of a normal day (not too strong prevailing wind) you may expect E-SE wind in the morning; S wind at noon; S-SW wind in the afternoon. The take off is surrounded by thermal triggers, but do not worry if you miss the first thermals - there are several house thermals below. Just observe the clouds and follow the birds.
LANDING ZONE(N42.66403 E24.74811; 527m AMSL) is usually a paddock, next to the first lift station and the parking lot. There are some low trees around it and if you are uncertain about landing into the area you can choose among other bigger fields around. If you go cross-country flying, you should try to land near the main road Sofia-Burgas, where you can easier get some transport.
